| One of the strongest points of the Madison Community Band is it's diversity and flexibility. This has allowed the band to play in many unique situations. MCB has a symphonic side, demonstrated in the concerts like Huntsville's Panoply of the Arts. This side has also been involved in uniting musical groups from around the valley at the Annual Madison Community Christmas Concert. But MCB is not just a symphonic band. MCB fielded an indoor marching unit to play the opening ceremonies of the American Bowling Congress during their championships in Huntsville. MCB is also flexible indoors and out. MCB has played 4th of July Concerts by the Tennessee River at the Lucy's Branch Resort, in the amphitheater at Monte Sano State Park, various times under the Space Shuttle at the US Space and Rocket Center, and at annual affairs on Main Street in Madison. But that's not all. The band has an active solo and ensemble program. The MCBrass and MCBWinds have performed for company parties and weddings, and MCB hosts occasional individual and ensemble showcases for family and friends. |
