Young Musicians
The Madison Community Band welcomes young musicians, including middle school and high school students. The Madison Community Band currently has several students rehearsing and performing with the band, including several home-schooled students. These students have the opportunity to enhance their music education by performing with more advanced musicians and performing higher levels of music.

Early Music Education Programs
Each year, several members of the Madison Community Band visit with young children at a Huntsville-area preschool to introduce them to the world of music. The hands-on percussion demonstration allows the children to learn about the various percussion instruments and the function each instrument plays in the percussion section. At the conclusion of each demonstration, the children are given the opportunity to actually play the instruments, which is always a treat for them because they can really make some noise. The Madison Community Band offers similar demonstrations and clinics to other schools in the North Alabama area.

Guest Clinicians
To encourage students in the band programs at area schools, the Madison Community Band sponsors guest artists and clinicians. In 2000, 2001, and 2008, the band played host to a cornet soloist and clinician, who visited several schools in Huntsville, Madison, Decatur and Athens, Alabama during a week-long clinic tour. The clinics focused on the history of concert bands and in particular, the history of the cornet and keyed bugle. The Madison Community Band continues to bring guests artists to the area for similar clinics.
